Recent and current major initiatives on supporting and developing PTT

This report examines a number of projects that have been undertaken in the last five years with similar aims - to support part-time teachers. A review of the research literature on PTT was conducted by Bryson (2005) and outlines the context in which PTT work and the problems they face. These issues are now more generally well known and do not require rehearsing here where the focus is more on seeking remedies.
