Teaching Basic Maths to Bioscience Students at UEA

This case study looks at engaging students' interest in maths as it relates to biology and building their confidence in tackling biological mathematical problems. Students are given a diagnostic maths test when they first start the course and are then split into groups depending on their scores. Groups are given a variety of exercises and activities to support the development of their maths and statistics skills.
