Transitioning cohorts: A comparative study of best practice in supporting direct entrant students to make a successful transition from FE college to advanced years in university - HEA Annual Conference 2017 - Generation TEF: Teaching in the spotlight

The aim of this session is to share the findings of a study into best practice in supporting transitioning students coming from a further education institute (FEI) for advanced entry to university.  It would be of particular interest to those who are involved in student transition but it would also be relevant to anyone who wants to gain a wider understanding of how FE college students differ from university students and what types of support they need to make that journey more successfully. This shares practical best practice examples of effective support.
