What does teaching excellence look like? Exploring the concept of the ideal teacher through visual metaphor - HEA Annual Conference 2017 - Generation TEF: Teaching in the spotlight

This session presents and discusses the findings of a research project that asked research students to explore their notions of what makes an ideal teacher in HE. The participants were invited to create collages that gave visual representation to their core about what constitutes excellent teaching in HE; this presentation explores the findings from the research and broadens the discussion to consider the implications of these findings in light of the Teaching Excellence Framework.
