Employability is recognised as a university-wide responsibility with institutions encouraged to embed employability throughout the curriculum. The challenge for the University of Wolverhampton (UoW) ranked 2nd in England with 96% Employability DLHE (2016) is how to achieve further improvements for ‘Generation TEF’ students. A university-wide study at UoW in 2016 of current L6/L7 students and alumni found that despite considerable effort to provide and embed employability skills across the curriculum there were still gaps in student awareness of the services and support available. This prompted a review and revision of the overall Employability and WBL strategy to take advantages of the opportunities for improvement within TEF.
