Considering teaching excellence in higher education: 2007 - 2013

This research review explores both the research and the grey literature on university teaching excellence with a specific remit to update an earlier review “Excellence in Teaching and Learning: a review of literature for the Higher Education Academy”. Little B. et al (2007)

The two main aims are:

  • to suggest further areas of research through a scholarly summary and critique of available literature produced on teaching excellence since the CHERI Report in 2007
  • to offer pragmatic suggestions in considering teaching excellence teacher excellence and excellent student learning thereby suggesting areas requiring policy development
