Developing cross-institutional communities of academic practice - from Groundhog Day to the Wizard of Oz

This presentation was delivered at the 2009 Higher Education Academy Annual Conference.

Session description: Staff and educational developers in large institutions can feel trapped in their own versions of 'Groundhog Day' as they seek out and disseminate good practice. This paper describes the success of a structured approach to supporting and sharing with Communities of Practice in a variety of areas of academic practice.
