Cultural Studies was launched two years ago at Roehampton. From the outset it has provided a spine of cultural studies seminars to support students throughout their degree. Unusually these seminars are not formally attached to a lecture series or other more conventional methods of information delivery. Instead they deploy a flexible and open learning format which offers space for students to think contribute and make connections across all of the courses being taken during the semester. This case study assesses the strengths and shortcomings of this methodology and considers the wider lessons that can be learned from the Roehampton experience.
