NET2019 - A connecting platform: How Facebook has enhanced shared learning and reflection for clinical nurse educators in the UK

Facebook has emerged as a networking platform and career development tool for the UK Clinical Nurse Educator Network. As this digital platform usage increases, key themes have  emerged related to  sharing best practice, supporting and developing nurses new to the clinical educator role and connecting educators working on similar projects to enhance practice development. As digital education become more prominent in healthcare, this Facebook community demonstrates that learning and reflection can take place remotely whilst still enhancing collaborative working. Nurse educators play a vital role in enabling staff to develop their clinical skills and knowledge, linking theory to best practice.
