Raising the profile of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) in the Life Sciences

This Pecha Kucha presentation is designed to encourage practitioners and learning managers to consider how the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) relates to learning enhancement and career development. The session will start by exploring our conceptions of SoTL together with reflections on how SoTL develops through a person’s career. Some of the theoretical models underpinning SoTL will be mentioned and a number of short case studies will be presented which link SoTL to career development. Participants in the post-presentation discussion will be provided with material to help them consider their own SoTL trajectories following the session.
