Setting objective tests in mathematics with QM Designer

This paper describes many of the lessons I have learned during the development of the “Mathletics” suite of online tests as recently reviewed.  Mathletics was written using Question Mark Designer but many of the remarks will be applicable to other online tests especially those written using the closely-related QM Perception and even to paper-based tests.
