Some Issues in Teaching Statistics at University Level

In moving from being two CTI Centres in Mathematics and Statistics to a three site Centre as part of the Learning and Teaching Support Network (LTSN) the breadth of work to be covered by the new Centre for Learning and Teaching in Mathematics Statistics and OR has increased substantially. This article aims to raise some of the issues that affect the teaching of statistics and to encourage participation in an active dialogue to improve this teaching in UK universities.
