The University of Brighton

The University of Brighton is a multi-campus university located across five sites on the UK’s south coast in Brighton Hastings and Eastbourne. Each campus has a significant academic presence and sustains a distinctive academic community in its own right. A total of nearly 22 000 students enrolled at Brighton in 2011 with just under 18 000 at undergraduate level.  The university employed just under 2 500 academic professional and support staff in the year 2011-12. Characteristic of Brighton’s courses is an emphasis on professional and vocational provision. As part of its strategic plan the university aims for all teaching staff to have achieved a professional recognition award by 2015.
