Working in Music: A Project of the CETL: Music and inclusivity

This paper will provide a summary of the challenges overcome and learning and teaching strategies developed by the Working in Music (WIM) project in attempting to meet this purpose. The WIM project (CETL Music and Inclusivity) aims to promote the employability and enterprise skills of students studying music across the North East Region. Delivered collaboratively the project has developed and delivered a series of learning and teaching events through fostering collaboration between students staff musicians and industry. The pedagogical challenge has been locating the student at the centre of the knowledge transfer process.
