As a result of a decade of delivering Athena SWAN action plans across the department, by advertising, encouraging and supporting female fellowship applications, the number of female fellowship holders has increased significantly. Moreover many of those fellowship holders have now gone on to acquire permanent academic positions or other longer-term prestigious fellowships.
