Flexible Learning Symposium 2024: From marginal to mainstream: Evolving approaches to flexible learning

To exchange ideas and disseminate new approaches to flexible learning.

Overview

There has been significant progress in practice since the Flexible Learning Framework was published by the Higher Education Academy in 2017.  Advances in digital tools, technologies and artificial intelligence have contributed to changes in how and where we work and learn. Similarly, the higher education sector has adapted by offering more choice in how, what, where and when students learn, addressing the diverse needs of both students and employers.

This online symposium will provide an opportunity for participants to review the revised flexible learning framework, informed by evidence from the Advance HE literature review (2016-2021) and emergent practice from Advance HE members. Colleagues can share insights and lessons learned, contributing to a collective understanding of effective practices for educators and institutions in delivering a more flexible learning experience.
