The academic practice SCORE Fellowship case study report

This case study report details the outcomes of when the Support Centre for Open Resources in Education (SCORE) funded five Fellowship projects in the period of 2010-2012 that investigated the theme of academic practice in higher education (HE). Each SCORE Teaching Fellow in this grouping adopted a collaborative approach to their work in order that they may maximise their benefit from the collective aim of exploring different aspects of academic practice.

In essence this concerted endeavour enabled the creation of joint presentations at conferences as well as further enhancing the dissemination of information about the individual projects that related to: 1) embedding OER into early career staff development; 2) providing an index to academic practice related to OER; 3) examining policy and practice for OER creation in the context of research-led institutions; 4) integrating the use of open content into the design development and delivery of postgraduate certificates; 5) understanding how early-career academics explored planned and implemented OERs in their teaching practice.

These case studies were created by SCORE (Support Centre for Open Resources in Education) fellows as part of the joint HEA / JISC Open Educational Resources study; pedagogical development from OER practice.
