Beyond competence: enabling and inspiring healthcare students to engage confidently with the transition from classroom to workplace learning

There is widespread recognition of the need for support for healthcare students during the transition from university-based teaching into placement learning.

This collaboration between the University of Southampton and the University of Leeds examined the experiences of audiology medicine and nursing students as they made the transition from student to trainee professional and into healthcare environments.

The project has resulted in a series of recommendations for policy and practice and a set of resources produced by students for students to maximise their workplace learning.

This project was led by University of Southampton.
