With the inclusion of Question 23 within the National Student Survey (NSS) Students’ Unions are now thrown into the ramifications of being scored and benchmarked against the satisfaction of students at their institution and many Students’ Unions are still working out how to strategically react to such high level and visible student feedback. Several initiatives now have a theme of ‘knowing your students’ based on student generated data within their methodology none more visibly than the data analyst role within the HEA What Works? project team.
