A comparative historical analysis of Florence Nightingale’s letters to William Rathbone during the Bangor typhoid outbreak 1882-1883 – A student engagement through partnership study - HEA Annual Conference 2017 - Generation TEF: Teaching in the spotlight

The focus of this session is to present the current progress and results of an engagement through research partnership research study. The aim is to bring a team of students and nurse lecturers together to examine historical correspondence using comparative analysis techniques guided by the values and processes emphasised in the HEA engagement through partnership framework 04 which participants are asked to sign up to during consent. The issues around partnership working and learning encountered during this project will be presented along with an evaluation of the framework and student and staff reflections on the experience.
