A day on the farm: The value of fieldtrips in improving student engagement group cohesion and course satisfaction - HEA Annual Conference 2017 - Generation TEF: Teaching in the spotlight

The authors carried out a small piece of qualitative research evaluating student’s perceptions of lambing visits (fieldtrips) during their final year of study. The research demonstrated the value of such activities in improving group cohesion engagement with their studies and overall satisfaction with the course. This research provides a case for including fieldtrips that are not usually considered in such courses as a way of improving overall student satisfaction
