Diffraction in Art and Art Education: A paradigm shift away from reflection - HEA Annual Conference 2017 - Generation TEF: Teaching in the spotlight

The aims are to present diffraction as an alternative paradigm to reflection and to demonstrate its particular suitability for Fine Art students and in general for the development of research methodologies in disciplines where criticality and creativity play an important role and cannot be easily detached from each other. The first objective of the workshop activity is to familiarise with methods of critical creativity and creative critique. The second objective is to show that the paradigm of diffraction is suitable for forms of creativity that are facilitated by the current digital technology
