Embedding sustainability in a new university

This case study describes an initiative undertaken at the University of South Wales as part of the HEA's Green Academy 2 Change Programme.

The overall aim of Green Academy at USW is to embed sustainability across the new institution with a particular emphasis on education for sustainable development (in Wales known as ESDGC). This was informed by the fact that over two-thirds of first year students surveyed by the NUS believe that sustainability should be covered by their university during their studies and university experience generally.
