Encouraging Student Attendance

Students who attend lectures and tutorials do better than those who do not. While independent learning remains the cornerstone of higher education lectures provide direction for students facilitate key concepts and provide a forum for discussion and other activities that can enhance understanding. This publication summarises key suggestions based upon recent research on this topic and the experiences of psychology staff in UK HE and FE.
