Experiences of and resources to enable lecture flipping in systems and control engineering

A paper from the STEM Annual Conference 2014.

This paper makes two contributions in the topic of inverting the lecture that is where one requires students to do preparation before a lecture and then lecture time is used for student activities. Firstly resource requirements are discussed and some resources which have been developed for modelling and control topics are highlighted. Secondly it discusses staff experiences of delivering this new learning content using these resources as prime delivery mechanisms for large group (200+) undergraduate lecture courses.
