Journeys beyond Fine Art: Professional Practice at UWE Bristol. In light of the current climate of rising tuition fees and an increased emphasis on employability Sophia Hayes will report on the development of UWE’s Professional Practice & Work Experience Module spanning all levels within their BA (Hons) Fine Art course. This will include mention of placement opportunities; industry links with local galleries and organisations; and how attitudes and approaches to student’s career paths are enhanced by UWE Fine Art’s unique satellite location within Spike Island arts community.
