The HEC Bricks to Clicks report and the TEF Technical Consultation have identified learning analytics as having the power to help institutions understand how students learn and enable optimisation of the students’ experience at University. But what do we want to optimise and what could and should we be using as part of this analysis A lot of early work undertaken by institutions in the UK has focused on increasing student retention by identifying and supporting students at risk of dropping out. How else can learning analytics be used to optimise the student experience?
