Moving with the Times – A New A level Further Mathematics Unit: Further Pure Mathematics with Technology (FPT)

Mathematics in Education and Industry (MEI) celebrate 50 years of existence in 2013. Over that time much has changed in the world of education but MEI continue to play its part in being innovative in developing support for the teaching and learning of mathematics. In this article a new A level module that utilizes computer algebra systems is introduced. Its development and the wider implications for this use of technology are given.
