After this session delegates will have gained an understanding of the University of Derby’s approach to working in partnership with students to co-create programme communities, discussing the opportunities and challenges when developing approaches to peer-assisted learning. Students participating in this scheme have the potential to develop transferrable skills which translate to the new NMC standards for supervision in practice. The session encourages delegates to reflect on their own context, to debate and explore ways to introduce or enhance peer-support schemes, considering interdisciplinary application and the developmental scope of the new supervisory role of registered practitioners.
