Plagiarism reduction: A behavioral economics approach

We conducted 4 studies on plagiarism reduction using a behavioural economics approach. Two of these studies were experimental studies to look at the effects of priming different concepts (honesty and originality) on participants' levels of susequent plagiarism and to look at the effect of giving different levels of ownership cues for original texts (basic expanded and rich levels) on participants' levels of subsequent plagiarism. The other two studies were applied studies involving changes to tutorial procedures for our First and Second year undergraduate students.
