In the higher education context students face various pressures from the creation of their adult identity to examinations everyday peer pressure (both verbal and non-verbal) to the long-term uncertainty of their careers. A tutor has an important role to play in developing a learner's resilience. Resilience is a unique skill that enables an individual to perform under pressure.
