The comparative study of sport involves the drawing of comparisons and contrasts between aspects of sports culture provision and organisational structures in different (predominantly Western) countries.

Since there are relatively few resources devoted to the comparative study of sport this resource guide is structured to highlight materials that are available for a range of countries then specific countries and finally a selected set of themes in international settings.
