Setting equality outcomes: colleges in Scotland

Under the Scottish specific duties of the Equality Act 2010, colleges are required to develop and publish a set of equality outcomes by April 2013. At the same time, colleges are developing outcome agreements with the Scottish Funding Council as well as responding to Education Scotland’s revised quality arrangements.

Following a step-by-step process and providing example equality outcomes, this briefing will help colleges identify, prioritise and develop equality outcomes, and where relevant show how these can be aligned with the Scottish Funding Council and Education Scotland’s requirements.
