Understanding academic's readiness to utilise technology-enhanced learning - HEA Annual Conference 2017 - Generation TEF: Teaching in the spotlight

Technology-enhanced learning (TEL) represents an approach towards improving the student learning experiences through the use of technology and represents a key area of interest of the Higher Education Academy. The study reported here takes a mixed method approach focusing on group interviews and the administration of structured questionnaires including measures of technology acceptance (e.g. based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Utilization of Technology - UTAUT 2). The combined outputs are reported to explain the decision-making patterns and readiness of end-users to accept and utilize a given technology and provide useful insights for interventions aiming to optimize technology acceptance.
