Melanie Packer qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2006. During her clinical career she worked in Warwickshire and Oxfordshire. Melanie joined Birmingham City University in 2018 and is a Senior Lecturer. She has a strategic overview for the practice placements on the Masters, Undergraduate and Apprenticeship Speech and Language Therapy courses offered at the University and is the current Placement Lead for the Master’s course. Melanie maintains special interests in professional practice, innovation in practice-based learning and the development of a diverse workforce. Melanie is currently completing a professional doctorate focusing upon diversity within her profession.
