Rob Ingram

Rob joined Falmouth University as Head of Employability in 2020 charged with developing a new 10-year employability plan and building a new employability service. In 2021, the new employability team gained a national award for Strategic Innovation and in 2023 for Careers & Employability Team of the Year. Rob has responsibility for a number of service areas at the University including Alumni, study-abroad programmes, employer engagement, work-based-learning, employability services and some student enterprise projects.

Prior to working at Falmouth University, Rob was responsible for leading Employability and Enterprise at the University of the West of England, Bristol. During his six-years at UWE, Rob worked on a number of initiatives including the development of a new multi-million pound student incubator and enterprise ecosystem, a ground-breaking BAME mentoring programme, the development of Graduate Attributes and developing University-wide employability strategy. In 2018 Rob’s team were successful in gaining a national award for Partnerships for a transnational project focussed on Social Enterprise education in Morocco – alongside other awards. Before working at UWE, Rob has had a variety of roles in Higher Education and the private sector.  

Rob has a Masters Degree in Education. Rob is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Rob is currently a governor at a local secondary school and sits on the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Employment and Skills Board.
