Trusha’s experience spans a variety of Board roles. Trusha is currently a Non-Executive Director of Elmhurst Energy Group of companies, which is the UK market leader in its niche and contributes to conversations with Government about energy efficiency in buildings where she previously used to be their Group Finance Director before starting her own consultancy. In addition, Trusha is a trustee of a local charity, Bamboozle, that does wonderful work on the global stage.
Trusha is elected member to the Global Council of ACCA. ACCA is the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, the world’s largest accountancy body. The members of the Global Council Board are volunteer custodians, elected by the membership of ACCA to provide overall stewardship as to ACCA’s well-being. With unique global perspectives, Council members contribute their knowledge and skills from across the international accountancy profession, working closely with the Executive Team to devise ACCA strategy and oversee its delivery.
Trusha has previously been a college Governor for over 5 years, Board Chair of her ACCA Leicestershire panel and previously been on the Board of the ACCA UK Corporate sector panel for 4 years and before that 9 years at ACCA Leicestershire members panel where she chaired the Board for her final 4 years. In addition Trusha has supported the ACCA as part of their International Assembly, a global board of elected members who provide guidance to ACCA Council.
Trusha’s finance experience was forged as Head of Finance at Wolsey, one of the worlds’ oldest clothing brands in its integration into the Matalan Group of companies. Before Wolsey Trusha was honoured to work at the British Red Cross in a change management role for its national ERP integration and before that she was at Hammonds Furniture in a variety of Commercial finance roles.
In summary, Trusha truly enjoys her governance roles and brings an openminded approach to strategy with a strong foothold on financial diligence and the need to understand a sound audit trail.
