Projects have ranged from the broad (formulating and gaining buy-in for institutional internationalisation strategies) to the specific (market research to inform a reputation-building plan in a key international market). She draws on 20 years’ experience within UK universities, including Director of International Relations and Director of Marketing roles.

A University of Oxford Modern Languages graduate, Vicky also holds a Doctorate of Business Administration (Higher Education Management) from the University of Bath. Her research interests include drivers for internationalisation, institutional strategies for global engagement, and approaches to transnational education. In 2021, she published a well-received sector report entitled: UK Universities’ Global Engagement Strategies: Time for a rethink?

Vicky’s strengths as a consultant result from her particular combination of her senior higher education (HE) leadership experience, including expertise in developing internationalisation and marketing strategies as well as an in-depth understanding of how to manage different aspects of international relations (including profile-raising, strategic partnerships, transnational education, student recruitment, exchanges and mobility, internationalisation at home) in different organisational cultures.

She has direct experience of engaging with students, partner organisations and other stakeholders in Asia, North America, Africa and Europe.
