The institution inroduced improvements in its recruitment and selection training, and promoted College-wide race-equality activity. They also ensured greater transparency and accountability in selection processes. The Departmental E&D Committees were also tasked with widening applicant pools using good practice (for example, utilising informal search-groups in some Departments) disseminated through the E&D Champions Network. There has been increase in proportion of staff BAME applicants, alongside an increase in shortlisting proportions as a result.
