Governance codes and EDI

The higher education codes of governance highlight the requirement for governing bodies to oversee EDI at their institutions.

The CUC Code of Governance

The September 2020 code argues that governing bodies need a “diversity of voice, attitude, and experience” and places inclusivity "at the heart of HE delivery across the UK" as one of the "set of core values which HE governance should be founded on". It describes inclusivity as "equality, diversity, accessibility, participation and fair outcomes for all".
