Project Title: AI in Action: Using AI Responsibly and Ethically
The project is: About to start
Project Summary:
Students will be given a research task and told to use AI tools to address the problem. They must then present their results to the class, followed by a critical review of the results in terms of accuracy, language and tone. The session will end with tips on how these tools can be used ethically and that we cannot ignore or avoid AI but need to learn how to use it as a tool in the workplace.
The intended outcome is to generate discussions on the ethical use of AI, how to use it in the workplace and also to highlight the current shortcomings of some of the tools. Examples of research tasks will be to address a local business issue as AI tools are currently less accurate when asked to answer these sorts of questions. Tips on how to use AI in the workplace will include how useful it can be to prompt ideas for social media posting, but students will learn that the language still often needs to be tweaked.
Students will learn that AI is often a great starting board and can save time which can be used on other value-adding activities that cannot be done by AI….yet!
Impact: To equip business students with AI skills necessary for their careers.
Audience: Undergraduate Business Students
