Project Title: EnhAL-AI (Enhancing Assessment Literacy using Generative AI)

The project is: In progress

Project Summary:

The project seeks to improve assessment literacy among undergraduate and postgraduate students by using generative AI in formative assessment. Students are offered case scenarios and asked to develop prompts that enable Generative AIs such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Google Bard to generate a response. The project seeks to identify the most effective strategies for critiquing the prompts and AI responses to build critical thinking while improving assessment literacy. The exercise of critique of the responses will be a collaboration between the students and teachers, and the nature and content of the questions will help the teacher understand what the students value.

Impact: Teachers and students collaborate on developing authentic assessments.

Audience: Students and teachers
