Evaluation of the Individual Project Assessment Framework used at Cardiff School of Engineering

This is the report resulting from one of the Engineering Subject Centre's Mini-Projects in Wales. It presents an evaluation of the assessment framework in use at the Cardiff School of Engineering for student's (final-year) individual projects. It critiques the assessment framework which has evolved over time within the Cardiff School of Engineering highlighting areas of potential improvement and enhancements which are required for compliance with Cardiff University's Assessment Strategy. The report presents recommendations for implementation that identify areas of 'best practice' and which may subsequently be of benefit for other HEIs to consider when looking at the assessment strategy for their final year projects.
