A case study demonstrating an initiative that aimed to give art students at Glyndŵr University a positive induction into the Critical Studies module. During the first year of the undergraduate programme many students have difficulties with the written components contained in this module. This strategy has been used to review prior learning of students. This scheme aimed to allay fears associated with the transition to higher education along with strengthening the staff/student rapport.
