This report focuses on the use of LEGO® and LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® as tools for exploring complex questions in any discipline. It outlines the pedagogic and theoretical basis for using three-dimensional and metaphorical building and discussion activities and shares vignettes of practice. In particular the report argues for playful and imaginative alternatives to traditional ways of learning and engaging. It also stresses the need to recognize these as valid and appropriate for higher level study. Although these vignettes come from a creative arts institution the techniques discussed originated outside the creative arts and are applicable within any discipline.
