Institutional NSS findings: from statistics to the student experience

Gwen van der Velden is the Director of Learning and Teaching Enhancement at the University of Bath where she has worked with the Students' Union academic staff and students on developing an outstanding learning experience. Crucial to achievements at Bath has been the practical and shared use of statistics that helped identify where improvements were required. Gwen will share some of the successes and challenges that Bath faced when planning enhancement activity using student survey data and will concentrate on the use of data in combination with a student engagement ethos particularly.
