The Invisible Coach: Criteria vs evidence in assessing Performing Arts (and other vocational/skill based programmes) - HEA Annual Conference 2017 - Generation TEF: Teaching in the spotlight

In this presentation I would like to challenge the semantics of 'criteria' and invite the idea of 'evidence based assessment'. In doing so I would like to offer solutions to the subjectivity of assessment in performing arts and introduce the idea of 'invisible coach' for the learner. I will be using the growing capitalistic culture and the idea of value for money in the HE as a framework.
