Learning and Teaching Guides: Developing Skills in Critical Reflection Through Mentoring Stories

SUBJECT CENTRE LEGACY RESOURCE This guide
has been produced to help students to understand this process of critical reflection
through the development of their mentoring skills. It supports trainee mentors by
encouraging them to 'capture' and investigate peer mentoring experiences with a view
to enhancing their personal and professional development in this context. A central focus of the guide is the significance of storytelling and how stories developed
within peer mentoring activities can be developed to demonstrate the links between
reflection learning and 'learning through storytelling'.
