learning disabilities

A learning disability is an impairment of intellectual or social functioning and affects the way an individual learns new things in any area of their life.

The rights of students with learning disabilities to have fair access to higher education are enshrined in law (Special Educational Needs and Disability Act 2001; Equality Act 2010) and universities should have dedicated staff to provide support to these students.
