participative pedagogy

A theory of learning in which space is provided to learners to actively create their own meaning through participation.

Participatory culture enabled by web 2.0 provides opportunity for learners to be creators by actively engaging in digital media such as wikis blogs social networks vlogs social bookmarking digital storytelling and virtual environments. Learners become co-creators of the curriculum who shape their learning through active participation. The learning experience is therefore the sum of these multiple perspectives and creations.
